PP Registers A Law To Lower VAT Of Hairdressers In January 2022

The popular group expects the support of the rest of the groups to lower the tax from 10% to 21%

The Popular Party plans to present this Friday in the Senate Registry a law “exclusively with dot” so that the VAT of hairdressers is reduced from 21% to 10% as of January 1, 2022.

It was announced by the PP spokesperson in the Upper House, Javier Maroto , in an interview on TVE in which he stated that they will not allow the “cacicada” of the president of the Senate, Pilar Llop, canceling a vote in this regard , make this sector “see its pretense nullified” to go a little further forward.

The popular leader has explained that the law may come out because they ask that VAT be reduced from that date, not before, so that it does not affect the income contemplated in the General State Budgets of this year that, in that case, the Government could veto to understand that it could unbalance them.

In this way, when they prepare the next budgets “they will have to do so in accordance with the laws also approved in 2021, that is, with the obligation that the VAT of hairdressers drops to 10%”, he added. EFE
