Five Girls And Two Boys Get The Highest Grade For Selectivity In Catalonia

A total of 39,775 students have taken the tests

Five girls and two boys have obtained the best selectivity grade in Catalonia with a 9.90. These are seven students from five public centers and two concerted ones from Les Franqueses del Vallès, Barcelona, ​​Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, La Bisbal d’Empordà, Artesa de Segre, Sabadell and Mora d’Ebre.

A total of 31,531 students have passed the University Entrance Exams (PAU), which were held between June 8 and 11 and whose appointment was marked by the obligation to facilitate the exams in Aranese and Spanish, as well as in Catalan .

For yet another year, the examinations were held under strict hygienic measures due to the pandemic, which required wearing a mask during the tests.

Those approved were 96.77%, a figure higher than the previous year, which was 94.48%. The global average grade for selectivity in 2021 has also been higher, with 6,848, compared to 6,616 in 2020. The average grade for university access has been 7,325.
